We Need a Law, has had a busy summer. Anna Nienhuis has had a hand in three different displays on BC’s Lower Mainland. She says the displays continue to have an impact. “People react. They say ‘Wow, it’s a really beautiful display,’ which gives us an opportunity to say ‘Yes, it is, but it’s not for a really beautiful reason.’”
There have been more than 30 public flag displays over the past few years, and Nienhuis says the campaign will be continuing. “We were considering at one point whether we would keep on going, but it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. There’s still lots of cities across Canada that haven’t done it.”
